James Chappell got a selfie with Floyd Mayweather just minutes after his big fight.

A Weymouth man has been sharing with Wessex FM the moment he got up close to boxer Floyd Mayweather just minutes after his big fight.

James Chappell was in Las Vegas last weekend to watch the clash in the ring with Conor McGregor.

He told Wessex FM: "I only had 2% battery left on my phone so I pushed my way forward to get a picture with him so I was the first person to get a picture with the champ after his fight."

James says he got in by passing 6/7 security points. He told Wessex FM: "The guy said nobody without credentials is getting through but Floyd senior's bodyguard pointed to him, myself, Floyd's mum and another lady and said "Get them through now" that's how I ended up in the dressing room."

The fight, last Sunday, has been named "The Money Fight". Floyd "Money" Mayweather beat MMA star "The Notorius" Connor McGregor during their 10th round, securing his record of 50 consecutive wins and 0 losses.

James said Mayweather was waving round his 9 figure cheque for all to see just minutes after leaving the ring.
