In the Southern League Premier, third placed Weymouth hosted Royston Town at the Bob Lucas Stadium, less than three weeks from their away win there. And the Terras wasted no time in taking the lead through a goal from Calvin Brooks. Ben Thomson and Brandon Goodship also scored to give Weymouth a 3-0 win, with the visitors down to 9 men. Next is a trip to Hereford next weekend.

Dorchester Town were looking to maintain their improved form with a trip to Stratford Town. The Magpies have been boosted by extending the loan services of Archie Collins (below) from Exeter City, till the end of the campaign. However they left with nothing as they lost 2-0.


Bridport were in Les Phillips Cup second round action today - The Bees beat Chard Town 1-0.

Gary Bailey was hoping for his first win back in charge at Portland United, as the Islanders entertained struggling Amesbury Town. He got the 3 points too, as they went on to win 6-1.

In rugby and Bridport beat Lytchett Minster 25-17, but there was defeat for Dorchester and also Weymouth & Portland.
