3G surface dream on for Dorchester Town FC

"Pitch for the Community" scheme is huge success already.

Dorchester Town's dreams of playing on a 3G surface are on the verge of coming true.

The Southern League Premier club launched a unique fundraising intiative last week - in just three days £15,000 had been put forward, as a result of the whole pitch being sponsored.

The club is now looking into releasing even more squares!

A 3G surface will transform the club with use on the pitch going from 6 hours a week 40 weeks a year to 80 hours per week 52 weeks a year. The club will become a football hub for the local area.

‘Pitch for the Community’ was put forward by supporter and member Cameron Dabbs and gives you the opportunity to sponsor a square of pitch for a £50 donation and get your name, your business name or a nominated name on a section of pitch.

All donations will be have been match funded by Dorchester Town Council AND Dorset County Council.

Payment can be visit made by bank transfer, through the club PayPal account (using email info@dorchestertownfc.org.uk – please select friend or donation for payment type to avoid a fee), or by cash or cheque to a club official.
