It was FA Trophy First Qualifying Round weekend for Weymouth and Dorchester.

The Terras travelled to Taunton Town, having already beaten them in the Southern League Premier this season, 2-1. Brandon Goodship gave them the lead at half time, with Stephane Zubar and Josh Wakefield adding further goals in the second to give Weymouth a 3-1 win. They're away at Basingstoke next weekend.

Dorchester made the trip to Southern Division One South leaders Yate Town for their tie. It finished 1-1 with Ben Seymour scoring for the Magpies.

In the Toolstation Western Premier Division, Bridport were looking to move away from the wrong end of the table as they hosted Roman Glass St George at St Mary's Field. Mark Salter and James Regan put them 2-0 ahead at the break, and with a further goal from Salter in the second half it finished 3-1 to the Bees.

Portland were in Wessex Premier action - The Blues entertained struggling Bemerton Heath Harlequins, and they went on to win 6-2.

In rugby and Weymouth and Portland got the better of Puddletown winning 41-31.
