Dorchester Town have appointed CALLUM BROOKS as their new first team manager.

He replaces Steve Thompson who left the Magpies yesterday.

Brooks, son of former Cherries star Shaun Brooks and currently working as a full-time coach at LeAF Academy, cut his teeth in management at New Milton, guiding them to 11th and sixth in Wessex One in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

With spells at Crystal Palace as a youngster and AFC Bournemouth as a coach within their academy, he joined Poole initially to coach the first-team, manage the development squad and link with the youth section to provide some progression for talented players. He stepped up to be Tom Killick’s assistant during the 2015/16 season.

In May last year Callum replaced Brendan King at Hamworthy United to become the first team manager at the County Ground guiding them to their current position of 5th place in the Sydenham’s Football League Premier Division.

Callum will introduce himself to the players at training tomorrow evening before his first match in charge on Saturday away at Farnborough Town (3pm).
