Dorchester Town have announced the name of their new manager as the former Portsmouth goal keeper Alan Knight.

It was announced at the players forum before the team took on Poole Town in the Dorset Senior Cup.

Knight will be assisted by Phil Simkin who has been caretaker manager for the last 7 matches whilst Mark Jermyn, who was the joint caretaker manager, has become a player/coach.

Ashley Vickers was relieved of his duties in October after a poor run of results.
