Weymouth Ladies welcomed Elingham & Ringwood Ladies for a pre-season development session at their Monmouth Avenue HQ. The session comprised off both teams training together and then three fifteen minute games.

Lead by Carol Biggs the Ladies returned to action for the start off their second season. Showing improved fitness levels they worked hard, tackled hard and defended well looking to attack at every given opportunity, igniting the passion and enthusiasm generated in their foundation season. With new recruit Nina Gould making an impression immediately, with her new team mates, picking up the player of the match award on her debut

However, the well drilled and organised visitors worked the available space with good support play and ran out convincing winners.

Coach Nathan Parker said “this development session was an ideal for the ladies to start preparing for the season; we have a full fixture list and are looking forward to the challenge.”

If you are interested in joining Weymouth Ladies, or just want to come and see what it is all about please contact Nathan Parker after 18.00 on 07818 055 385
