Young Hockey Player Is A Big Hit with England Coaches

A star hockey player from Dorchester's Thomas Hardye School has been scouted by Team England Coaches.

14 year old Tara Chittenden has been selected for a 3 day national camp for elite players, run by top brass hockey coaches.

If she impresses the Year 10 pupil could be put through to an England training squad.

And there's more good news, two of the Schools boys have been scouted by the Bath Rugby Team and will be training at their high performance Academy. Jack Warburton (year 10) and Casper Bailey (Year 10) successful went through two sets of trials with 80 other school children, all competing for a team spot.

 
Head of PE at Thomas Hardye, Geraint Hughes says he's proud of all his students and says it's not just about he School's elite athletes, but everyone who competes and works hard to get together as a team.
