An ex Arsenal and England star will be gracing the Bob Lucas Stadium this afternoon.

Weymouth Ladies take on Downend Flyers who feature the talents of Rachel Stowell.

Rachel has won 17 caps for England scoring once.

Weymouth go into the match on good form having beaten Cheltenham Town 9 - 1 two weeks ago at home then winning 2 - 0 away to Plymstock last Sunday.

Weymouth manager Tim Davis commented, "Rachel Stowell is a fantastic player who is in demand as other teams have approached her recently. She has been injured recently but there is every chance she will be back in time for our match.

If she plays it will be fantastic for my girls to play against her and test themselves.

It shows the strength of the South West League when we have attracted players of her calibre to play in it.

Our girls deserve a big crowd to come and support them as they have been tremendous again this season so if you are free we would be delighted to see you".

Admission prices for Sundays match are just £2 for adults and £1 for children.
