Basketball - An Unfortunate Loss For The Cowboys

It's been another loss for Weymouth cowboys in the basketball.

A weak defense lead them to loose 56 - 80 against Dorset Storm Spartans.

The team started well, lacking only 7 points behind at half time but in the second half the Cowboys went on to lose many of their defensive rebounds to a stronger and taller Spartan team.

Coach Alex Fuhrmann, however, said that he felt the zone defense was good "The team made some unnecessary turnovers during the latter minutes of the game, this gives us a clear idea of what to work on for later games. On the other hand there are positives to take from the game such as great zone defense and communication."

Their next game will be December 9th.
