The Cowboys were looking for their first win of the season at home to the Rockets after 2 early losses. The home team went out strong in the first quarter, with Giles Heaman picking up 9 points towards a 2 point Cowboys lead at the close, 15-13.

The Rockets countered in the 2nd quarter, with a scoring streak of 8 unanswered points shortly after the break. Fortunately for the Cowboys Adam Bradley stepped up with 10 points to keep the Cowboys in the game, leaving the Home team trailing by 5 going into the second half.

There was nothing between the teams through the 3rd quarter, both adding 18 points to the tally and leaving the Cowboys with everything to do in the final quarter. Despite coming out with a full court press and several Cowboys pushing in to late foul trouble, the Rockets did enough to finish 71-65 up on the hosts.

Coach Alex Fuhrmann said, "a tough finish for a home game, but with some really strong spells of basketball. We'll keep our heads up going into our next game."

Game MVP: Giles Heaman

Scorers/Roster: Giles Heaman 25, Adam Bradley 15, Carl Carter 9, Matt Board 7, Ben Stokey 5, Brett Dunster 4, Gerry Legg-Saunders, Steve Howlett, Jake Durston, Jamie Harris.
