Weymouth's Midfielder injured in a horror tackle last weekend is to have surgery tomorrow (Friday 12th April).

Jamie Skinner suffered serious ligament injuries to his leg after the challenge at Bedford.

He's been moved top Exeter Hospital.

Club Chairman Nigel Biddlecombe said in a statement on the teams website they hope the full extent of his injury can be announced after Jamie’s op.

"Jamie has been moved to Exeter Hospital and is a lot happier in himself as he is now "back home"

Having talked to his father this afternoon I can confirm that the hospital are hoping to operate on Friday and will - hopefully - then be able to confirm the full extent of his injuries.

Emma Tonkin - club physio - has visited 'Skins' this afternoon and we, as a club, keep in close contact with both Jamie and his family. We will give a further update as soon as the results of his operation are available.

In the meantime I am sure that everyone at Weymouth Football Club will join me in sending Jamie our very best wishes for a speedy recovery."
