Hula Hooping is fun, it's good exercise and this weekend, you can do it and help raise money for a brilliant local charity.

Hula Hooping as we know it today dates back to the 1950's but it's still popular especially as a method of exercise or, as in this case a way of raising some funds for a great cause.

The Living Tree are a wonderful charity based in Bridport but also serving people from West Dorset, East Devon and South Somerset. The are a self-help support group for people who have experienced Cancer and also for the friends and families of people who have experienced Cancer.

I popped in to Bridport Leisure Centre to see Debbie Jones who has a personal connection to the support that The Living Tree offer and so has decided to hold a 12 hour Hoopathon to raise funds for the charity and you can get involved!

Don't worry if the hips aren't what they used to be or that you've only got a little time to offer, Debbie will be on hand to help and guide you during your time contributing to the day.

It takes place at Bridport Leisure Centre on Sunday 04th February 2018 from 8AM until 8PM but Debbie tells me the morning is already looking busy so she'd be delighted to see more people in the afternoon and evening. If you're only free in the morning however, you'll still be absolutely welcome to go along then.
