Character Comedian Simon Day is on the road again with his latest show featuring a mix of favourites from The Fast Show and some of his newer characters.

Star of The Fast Show, Simon Day is at The Electric Palace in Bridport this weekend as part of his current tour, Simon Day In Character.

I called Simon to find out more about what we could expect from the upcoming show and to talk briefly about a tour later this year with John Cooper Clarke.

If you're going along this weekend, you'll be treated to a mix of some classic Fast Show characters and some of his more recent creations including Brian Pern, an ageing prog rock star and humanitarian. The famour Pub Bore from The Fast Show, resurrected for the first time since being charged with making 278 sexist comments over a three-month period in his local Weatherspoon’s. For fans of Poetry, Geoffrey Allerton, Yorkshire’s most under-rated poet, steps out of the Mallard Theatre and onto The Electric Palace stage to recite work from his latest poetry collection ‘Making Time’ and finally, one of Britain’s most dangerous men and longest serving prisoners Tony Beckton talks about his continuous struggle to adapt to life on the outside.

It's set to be a varied show full of laughs with one of Britains top character comedians.
