Anyone For Table Tennis?

Published at 3:00pm 21st March 2018.

Thanks to a grant from the Postcode Community Trust, a new Table Tennis Group meets every Wednesday at Wey Valley Tennis Centre.

The Wey Valley Tennis Centre now plays host to a special group set up for C'Siders Cancer Support Group (you can find out more about them HERE).

Whether you're a total beginner or looking to brush up your existing skills, they can help! The group meets on Wednesdays at 3PM and Coach Andy Millar is on hand to help you whether you're picking up a bat for the first time or if you're looking to brush up that back hand technique you've been working on.

The project has been made possible by a grant of £1334 from the Postcode Community Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. It's a great way for the group members to learn something new but you could be going along too.

Jess MoggeridgeCoach Andy Millar is well used to working with enthusiastic beginners and professional players alike. One up and coming star is 11 year old Jess Moggeridge (pictured) who recently took part in the Table Tennis National Cup.

Aside from welcoming coaching new members at the weekly C'Siders group, Andy is also keen to hear from anybody interested in playing to represent Weymouth in future competitions. He can be contacted by emailing a.millar212@gmail.com.
