10,000 Selfies w/c 14/01/19

What a busy week (perhaps my busiest yet) last week on 10,000 Selfies! Here’s what happened.

  • I visited Cheryl at The Crafty Gift Boutique on Trinity Street in Dorchester to find out how she’s getting on so far in 2019 and no surprise that business is doing well and she’s got some ideal wedding gift items in at the moment.

  • I visited the team at Cook in Tudor Arcade Dorchester to find out more about their frozen meals which at the moment include a range for those taking part in Veganuary and also a new range of kids meals that should hopefully stop them moaning!
  • I then headed out Winfrith way to meet up with Lee to get some Selfies but also to find out more about his recent weight loss and conversion to fitness fanatic now hoping to become a Personal Trainer. After initially getting lost somewhere on a farm, I found him!
  • Finally in the evening I paid a visit to Weymouth West Air Scout Group and met lots of young people keen to get a photo and also found out more about the group. They are currently raising funds to upgrade the building including providing Wheelchair access which the building doesn’t currently have. • It’s not often I go to the Barbers these days but I was pleased to stop by and see the Ladies at The Modern Barbers in Weymouth. It was a friendly welcome on a very rainy day.
  • Then I moved on to Jigsaw Play Café which provides a safe and colourful area for kids to play and dress up and generally enjoy themselves whilst the adults can sit nearby and relax for a while with a Latte….well, that’s what I had anyway.

  • On Thursday I visited the opening of two superb new facilities at 1610 Dorchester Sports Centre. The first is a Spin Cycle Studio and the other a brand new Prama studio. Both offer brilliant ways of keeping fit and it also allowed me to grab a Selfie with Dorchester Mayor David Taylor along with Sam from The Dorset Echo in addition to plenty of others.
  • Then it was onto Costa at Brewery Square who have recently had a refurb….and very snazzy and cosy it looks as well. I know, I said Snazzy and that word has been out of vogue since the late 70’s but hey, I’m nothing if not anti-establishment in my own little ways.

  • On Friday I stopped by to see Kieran and the team at Dorset Cleaning Service at Basepoint Business Centre in Weymouth. I got Selfies and dropped off a big bag of treats as they had won War of The Works.
  • Then finally, a trip to see the team at Weymouth Mobility who have now become the official sponsors of 10,000 Selfies. So I got some photo’s with them and left them some Doughnuts to help them through Friday afternoon. You can find out more about them here https://www.weymouthmobilityltd.co.uk/

Below, just a selection of the photos I took last week. You can find more here (and let me know where I can get one with you) here - https://www.wessexfm.com/ten-thousand-selfies.php
