Back In The Saddle!

It's been 27 years since Driving Instructor Claire Norman decided why have one wheel when you can have four? She's been in the loft, got the one-wheeled-wonder dusted off and now plans to Unicycle her way from Weymouth Town Clock to Cafe Oasis.

That in itself sounds tricky enough but when you add the pressure of doing it for charity on top, it's a good job that Claire's daytime role taking new drivers through their paces (me included) has clearly given her nerves of steel (and that's mostly my doing as well - those roundabouts!!)

Weymouth Hockey Club are in need of a new pitch and Claire is on a mission to raise £1000 towards the cost but there's a sweetener for people thinking of donating......PRIZES!!

Anyone who donates £3 or more will be entered into a prize draw to win something nice. Prizes include:

  • A Beginners Glassblowing Experience with Stuart Wiltshire Glass.

  • Family entry into Bennetts Water Gardens.

  • Silver Heart Necklace.

  • 2 prizes of 5 Family Swims with Everyone Active.

  • Kingston Maurward Animal Park Day Pass.

  • 3 Cineworld Tickets.

And there's loads more! To find out what's up for grabs and to make your donation, please visit https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/unicycle-ride-for-weymouth-hockey-club#start

The more you donate, the more you chances you have to win!

Good luck Claire. Let's hope she doesn't get any major faults on the day!
