An idea for the Summer Holidays! Getting the children outdoors and learning.

"I'm bored"! Summer Holidays. Don't you just the love them? Inevitably there will come a point where they get bored and you've run out of time/ideas/patience/all of these!

I popped along to Weymouth Rugby Club to find out about a session running on Thursdays through the Summer Holidays dedicated to Bushcraft.

The young gents attending the session got shy of talking but Josie from A2Z Adventures told me more about what they had been doing.

The day long session offers kids the chance to get outside and take part in some exciting, adventurous and fun bushcraft activities.

The activities on offer vary week by week, and will include: Traditional firelighting, Campfire cooking, Shelter building, Wild food - foraging and preparation, Learning how to track animals, Basic survival and wilderness skills, Making bows and arrows, Archery sessions. So there is plenty for eager young minds to be excited and occupied with.
