She didn't make the final two

Weymouth singer Lauren Bannon has missed out on the title of The Voice winner 2018.

The 27 year old made it all the way through to tonight's final but missed out on making the sing off between the two singers with the most public votes.

She thanked her coach Olly Murs for everything he had done for her.

Earlier in the show, millions of viewers watched her return to Weymouth and perform a song for a packed crowd at The Rendezvous, where she shed tears thanking locals for their support.

Viewers also saw her visit to Wessex FM's studios, where she was presented with a special 'Do It For Dorset' t-shirt by presenters Carl Ashwin and Maria Greenwood.

The overall winner of the show was named as 18 year old Ruti Olajuagbegbe from Essex, who was coached by Tom Jones.

She may not have won, but we are so proud of Lauren's achievements - well done Lauren!
