In local football - Weymouth will be looking to stay top of the league as they get ready for a tough game against Chippenham at the Bob Lucas.

The Terras got back to winning ways after a hard-fought 1-0 win against St Neots Town in the week.

But manager Jason Matthews said their opponents offer a different type of challenge.

He told Wessex FM: "I feel they are very tough opponents and they make it very hard for you and they're not easy to beat."

"I'm expecting a really physical game."

Elsewhere, Bridport are traveling to take on Longwell Green Sports in the league.

The Bees were held to a 0-0 draw against a stubborn Hallen side last week and manager Trevor Senior said they know what area of their game they have to improve to start picking up more points.

He said: "What we need to improve on at the moment is our goal scoring. I told the lads last week that I think there are only three teams in the league who've scored less than us."

"Our defensive record is good enough but we must improve on our goal scoring."

Also Dorchester are away to Truro City and Portland United take on Swanage at home.

In local rugby, Weymouth & Portland are up against Puddletown at home but Dorchester and Bridport aren't playing.
