Terras host Histon, Magpies away at Hungerford and Bees entertain Bitton

In local football, Weymouth are looking to get back to winning ways when they play Histon at the Bob Lucas today.

Four defeats in their last five league games has seen the Terras slip off the top spot in the league and fall five points behind title rivals Poole.

But manager Jason Matthews is staying positive.

He told Wessex FM: "I've been reiterating that we haven't become a bad side overnight and looking at the changing room after training I think we have turned a corner."

Bridport are also trying to bounce back from a narrow defeat last week.

The Bees will need to find the net against Bitton at home after they failed to score for a second successive game when they slipped to a one nil defeat at the hands of Longwell Green Sports.

Boss Trevor Senior says his side needs to start picking up points so they don't fall behind their rivals.

He said: "The league is really tight, if we'd won last week we'd have gone 5th but we lost and dropped to 12th and that's quite a drop."

"Hopefully we can get three points because it's important we stay in touch with the teams above us."

Elsewhere, Dorchester are away to Hungerford Town and in local rugby, Bridport RFC are hitting the road for their clash with Swanage & Wareham.
