On Tuesday night a well experienced Bandits team faced off against the younger Cowboys side. Although it was fun for these teams to match up, the Bandits knew they needed this win to solidify their playoff hopes.

It was a slow start for the Bandits as defensive rebounding seemed to be the problem; the Cowboys took advantage of this and converted on second chance points. It was a different story on the other end as Bandits executed off of their half court sets well, with Jim De Bertrand and Vitoldas Balciunas scoring inside. In the second quarter the Bandits started hitting from the three point line which increased their lead, finishing the half 50-26.

The Bandits began the third with an aggressive defence which caused problems for the young Cowboys side leading to turnovers, the Bandits capitalized on these mistakes with Craig Sorrell and Jake kinder racking up quick points. The final quarter was another good quarter on both ends for the Bandits, finishing the game with an easy 95-42.

Bandit’s Gilmartin said: “Although it was a slow start, we played with a high intensity especially for most of the game and that’s when we’re at our best”
