James Baker, one of the UK's leading Water Polo coaches has been holding an elite water polo camp at Dorchester Sports Centre.

Dorchester has one of the best and most thriving clubs in the South West.

Club member Harry Wheeler has made the National squad and three county players all got gold in the recent Under 12's County Championships.

Duty Manager Andrea Dabbs says that that the Water polo day camp for 12-15 years age group will present a unique opportunity for local youngsters to develop their skills further:

"James Baker is the Under 17 GB Water polo coach so who better to have to inspire our club members. He will be teaching the players about technique and tactics and there will be a competition in the pool where players can put into practice what they have learnt on the day.   Following the investment of a bigger pool at Dorchester Sports Centre Water polo is really thriving as a result. It is such a great team sport to be part of and specialist day camps such as this will only help the club to go onto further success and to encourage more young people to get involved in the sport."
