There is just 100 days to go until the 24 hour Rugbyathon at Dorchester Rugby Club.

The countdown has started to the two-day festival, which will celebrate everything that is great about the game of rugby when it starts on Friday 11th September.

Dorchester Rugby Club will also be trying to set a world record for the largest number of participants in a continuous game of rugby.

The Rugbyathon is raising money for a host of local charities including Julia's House, The Wooden Spoon Society, The Matt Hampson Trust, The Dorset Air Ambulance and Ducks and Drakes.

Other events will include a Dorchester XV against a Wooden Spoon Invitational XV, a cider and sausage festival, live music, children's entertainment and a black tie charity ball.
