The club, led by Bill Heinrich,  have yet to win a game this season, failing to make more than a single score per game and conceding 352.

Yet, as American Football website Double Coverage reports, "the Raptors still seem to approach each game with smiles on their faces."

They have generated a lot of local interest, gaining over 1,200 likes on Facebook and regularly attracting large crowds to the Dorchester Rugby Club.

"Offensively and defensively we have seen what we are capable of," said Heinrich.

"The guys have played their hearts out and have drawn praise from all our opponents."

The club have launched a major recruitment drive ahead of next season.

"Next season we need to recruit heavily and add depth all over the field."
