There was a mixture of Southern League Premier and FA Vase qualifying round encounters.

In the Southern League Premier, top of the table Weymouth were looking to continue their blistering form away at Farnborough. Ben Thomson quickly scored for the Terras in the opening minutes, and there was further first half goals from Abdulai Baggie and Stephane Zubar. Farnborough got a goal back to make it 3-1 at the break. However Weymouth then collapsed in the final 20 minutes of the second half, with the home side finding the 3 goals they needed to make a remarkable comeback, and sending Weymouth home the losers after a 4-3 defeat.

Dorchester meanwhile were looking to bounce back from their devastating 5-0  Ridgeway Derby defeat on Bank Holiday Monday as they hosted Hartley Wintney at The Avenue stadium. They went a goal down after just a couple of minutes, before Harry Kite and Ashley Pope made it 2-1 at half-time. With no further goals in the second it was a much needed win for Dorchester.

Both Portland and Bridport were in FA Vase qualifying action.

The blues travelled to Lymington Town  and lost 4-2. Meanwhile the bees, buzzing from their great start to the season, were away at Romsey Town and despite an 11th minute penalty from Mark Salter, they were 3-1 down with less than half an hour to go. Leighton Thomas and Mark Salter then scored two goals in three minutes to make it 3-3 after 90 minutes, and the game went into extra time.

Another goal apiece in extra time left it 4-4, with a replay scheduled for next Wednesday (September 5th).
