Tom Daley Hoping To Seal 2012 Qualification

Tom Daley heads out to the World Championship in Shanghai on Friday to defend his ten metre title and seal qualification for the London 2012 Olympics.

The World diving champion is one of Britain's great medal hopes at next year's Olympics, but he's still to guarantee his place on the team.

Speaking at the launch of a new initiative to help families try out new sports... he knows he faces a tough challenge from the dominant Chinese.

He said, "The Chinese are definitely getting further and further ahead of everyone else and the thing with the Chinese divers, if you put pressure on them, that's what they don't like so you've just got to try and keep on tail as much as possible."

"I'm really looking forward to Shanghai, I've never been to Shanghai and it's going to be defending the title.

"I've got four new dives at the moment and it's just about going in there and hopefully qualifying my spot for the Olympic Games."
