The very first Dorchester Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 28th May!
The event is raising money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and other local charities.
Both races are now full, but here's useful information for you if you live in the local area:

There are closures on Sunday 28th May in locations including the town centre, West Stafford, Tolpuddle, Athelhampton, Puddletown, and surrounding villages.
Help out as a Marshall
Organisers are looking for:
75 Route Marshals aged 18 or over with local knowledge to help runners, motorists and the public to ensure a trouble-free and enjoyable experience for everyone.
This will be provided for all Marshalls:
Briefings and support materials
Course and road closure details
Guidance and maps for motorists in your area
A phone contact for instant help or a radio phone if no signal
High viz jackets and a packed lunch if on duty at lunchtime
Access to the post race entertainment!
